Morning Glory: Common Organic Seed

30 Organic Common Morning Glory Seeds [approx]

Name: Morning Glory: Common

Latin Name: Ipomoea purpurea

Plant Type: Annual

Plant Height: 150-400 cm

Description: Morning Glory is a climbing plant. It produces flowers in lovely shades of blue, purple and pink. Morning Glory produces tendrils that help it climb and cling to things like fences, poles, trelis and hedge rows. New flowers open every morning and then wither in the evening.

Seed Origin: Netherlands

Sowing: March to June

Flowering: May to September

How To Grow Morning Glory From Seed: Seeds can be started indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost. Transplanting and direct sowing into your flower bed should be done once the risk of frost has passed. Germination can take between 7-21 days.

Plant the seeds evenly in pots or seed starting modules, or directly into your flower bed. Thin the seedlings out once they become established. Be careful of the roots when transplanting, as they don’t like disturbance.

Morning Glory grows rapidly after planting out, it can grow up to 3 metres or more in one season.
